  1. Good day ma'am June,

After I've seen the picture i kinda feel gross on it and I wonder what the Hindu people thinking when they building it. We Filipino's are conservative, even in our own homes we taboo the words that may related to sexual activities.
Well our religion and theirs are different so it's okay and i respected their belief because every races has their own ideas in the way of life.
(The temple and sculptures are really looks great!!!)

  4. Haii ma’am!
When I watched the documentary film about “the temple of Kama Sutra”, I was amazed. First and foremost that temple is an awesome art. It even came to my mind that “ I admire the artist/artists of this”.
But, as the film went farther--- focused the different carved figures about sex, and the narrator told more about it. It made my ear-hairs aroused. It made me shocked of course, It even made me a little bit frustrated, who would have thought that conservative Indians has this type of culture? Anyway, as a minor and a Filipino, it would really hard for me to accept and believe this kind of culture in the first place. But my RESPECT is still present, because it is their culture. Maybe it sounds like gross for us. But I’m pretty sure that they consider this as a rich culture of them. And still my amazement is there..:)

  5. Good day!!!

  6. good day maam,

I was still in a stage of letting myself be convinced with what i have seen and observed in Indians Kama Sutra temple. It was good but shocking because i can't imagine that the scenery of this beautiful temple is all about different positions of sex; realizing that temple is one of the places that can be called as holy. But still i realize that i have to take the reality that maybe Indians are just being open with their sexual culture. This thing also are deserving to earn appreciation because it is unique and the artist of this what we call art puts an effort to make the sculptures good and use that sex positions as a subject of an art even if it is not that pleasant in everyone's eyes.

When i open your blog and read the title of your article, I was kinda excited co'z i am fun of seeing structures that were established a long time ago. Structures from ancient time are so amazing, then their i saw the picture of the Temple Khajurajo. It's pretty awesome to see such picture, it made we wish then, that maybe someday i can see that temple personally.

As i scrolled down and read the article, i felt uneasy reading it. It made me utter words "whoa !! what's this??" i even questioned myself if it is true???...The context on the blog talks about the erotic sculptures that resides in that temple. There was also about sex and religion that said to be inter-twined in Hindu culture. I was shocked, big time to know that such temple has that sculpture. For what we know Christians, temples are sacred places. But then, as i read further and analyzed it, i came to a realization that we don't have the right to questioned them co'z that what they believe. It's their culture, not ours. We have different beliefs, religion and culture from them. All we have to do is to respect them, the way they respect ours.

Even though, i know now that India has such temple, STILL , i wanna visit that place...

A phenomenal day to you ma'am!

I felt confused and unbelievable regarding their culture.
I can't avoid to mind something repulsive on the sculpture but I do understand what is their culture I just then curious on why it happened? Anyway,it's the reality.
I'm very thankful to you ma'am in this information. An incomparable culture I ever acquainted.
    Keep blooming and Godspeed...

  9. Good day!
Upon seeing the sculpture at the first time, I feel so confused on the sculptor of what his/her purpose of making such sculpture.
And then after watching the film about it, I’d realize that it is part of their culture .It is one of their culture that they will be going to visit their temple with the sculptures of prostitutes people. But this sculpture of prostitutes does not mean that the people who are visiting the temple are also prostitutes.
And even we know that for us, it is very annoying or it gives us bad interpretation, let us always remember that it is part of the culture of Indians who are living there, so we must respect them.

  10. Evening!

What about you? What emotional reactions do you have to the sculpture? Is your reaction a result of cultural attitudes, or is it universal?

When I read this question after reading the article. I feel so sad and disappointed to the people of India for showing to us these sexual images through the sculptures in the Kama Sutra Temple that lead us to be aware on this matter.

We know that our religious group guided and taught us good traits, attitudes and not this India showed to us, but we have different beliefs and cultures that one of us should respect. I think the people f India has the reason for building this Temple because this the way they respect and believe their God and their cultures.
We should respect their beliefs, because we have not the same to them.
My reaction for this article is a result of cultural attitudes.

    Thank you!!

  11. good day ma'am :)
As seeing the pictures which was the erotic sculptures i was surprised because at first it looks so annoying but wen i read about the temple of Kama Sutra i've realized that we need to respect it because it's part of their culture. For them there is no mallace in making those sculptures because for them it's the way or those sculptures helps them on how to have intersection with someone especially to those illiterate people at India .What is more important as readers is that we may able to explore the richness of their culture .

    Thank you ..

  12. good day ma'am,
the first time i saw this sculpture i was shocked and started to wander if why is that even before this kind of culture was exercised by some other countries...
we may say that Filipino Christians are not that liberated but on some other countries it is..
i started to think why it is located in the the temple of Kama Sutra since it is considered that sex is gift from God,, maybe it is just something new to us becauce it is not our culture...
maybe there is a part on our culture which we do not like,,
everyone is unique, and have different ways upon showing it to them we should respect it....

  13. good evening ma'am..seeing pictures of those erotic sculptures
or shall i say porn in stones, made me curious but still i know that there's always a good explaination.
As I watched the film about it last thursday,i came to respect their beliefs and culture. We may have a different thoughts in our minds but it is us who is responsible if we take these in arousal way or be open minded and take these an awareness without even doing it..

maagap man at di magaling ay naihahabol pa rin...tama ba?..

  14. hi ma'am good eve..
when I first saw it I was totally shocked..
Ano ba talaga ang ipinapahiwatig ng temple na ito? Does it teaching how to perform manual sex?or just telling us not to be ignorant about it because it is just normal? There are many questions playing in my mind right now about this temple maybe it play a big rule in their society, in their living and in their culture lets just respect it. The temple was so unique that's all I can say..

  15. Hello maam!!
Woow……what an amazing sculpture of Indian people,SPECIALLY in building the Temple of khajuraho and the history of making this such a great and unbelievable temple..By this temple, I could really infer that Indian people do believe that temple is a Home of God, so they considered it as a Holy and Sacred building..
Ahmf,in the other khajuraho sculpture…????Ah, I felt so confusing ---does it really exist?? I mean, this LUSTFUL sculpture. sorry ----but still, it is great….

  16. GOOD EVE MAM,
At first, I can't believe that those images would be tackled and showed at school because for me it's 'MALALASWANG MGA LARAWAN'.. In fact, gusto kung mgreact ng sinabi mo mam na uk lng na manood ng mga phonographic videos.. i I was shocked hearing those words from a teacher, but all of those bad things was change after reading this article.

My first reaction was cultural attitudes but I am thankful to you mam because you make me understood about others culture.. hope there were more culture na ma eh share nyo sa amin..

  17. Good Evening ! :)
My impression is due to cultural attitudes , so upon seeing those stuffs I was rarely shocked . On my 16th years of existence this is the very first time in which I was able to see such thingy . As I looked at the temple I feel amaze to see a work of art . Suddenly I was then saddened to see what are the paintings inside .. I was wondering why is it the architect INSCRIBE a subject like "Positions of SEX" at that temple , why ? .. But through reading I just then found out na that is a part of their religious beliefs so we should respect and accept that for Indian people "SEX and RELIGION are INTERTWINED" ..We Filipinos are known to be conservatives that is we can utter that this sculpture shows an unpleasing art .. But as what I have said we should respect and understand their practices .. That would be all , Thank You for reading :) (I am very sorry with the grammar)
