Here are additional information about the temple. The slides are supposed to be posted as PowerPoint presentation, unfortunately I didn't have the app. I still have to download the apps.
In this sculpture and information about the Hindu Temples, it tells us that people in India are very creative every now and then because of their beliefs and their lifestyle. Although many of us didn't believe them of their beliefs but still they have their uniqueness because they made an sculpture that fit to their beliefs and describe the reality.
In this information also it tells about their god whom they believe and the information about what is inside the temple. The temple was so very creative yet it was really intentionally made for them so that they can pray and meditate there in the temple.
I wish i could visit there temple so that i will really know how beautiful and creative their temple is. And it was so nice that because of this i have so many knowledge about their life and temple in India.
Upon just observing the Hindu temples in the given two images we can assume that there is a similarity on the structure of the temple to the other one. Besides its extensiveness, I simply noticed that the tip of the top of the steeples or roofs that it is somewhat pointed. I’m so eager to know why those spires existed or shall we say must look like. But after interpreting the information’s given it gives me the idea why those spires must look like it’s because according to it, it’s a phallic symbol which is one of the forms that Shiva takes. Then it cleared up my curiosity.
In fact, I find their temples very unique! I really appreciate how their temple structures portray what their religion is. It is so interesting, I’m gonna die! I wish I could tour around those temples which they considered as a monument to creativity and the power of Shiva. The constituents of the temple were creatively constructed even though it’s really huge.
Good day Ma’am! Upon reading the slide show you posted the first thing came to my mind is that Indian people is so religious. But they have a unique ways in praising or shall we say the way they worship God. According to my research Kandariya Mahadeva Temple is the largest and most ornate Hindu temple in the medieval temple group found at Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh, India and it is considered one of the best examples of temples preserved from the medieval period in India. Khajuraho was once the religious capital of the Chandela Rajputs and today is one of the most popular tourist destinations in India. It is so amazing too that people in the medieval period made or built those beautiful structures even though in that time there is no technology yet. I wish I could go there so that I will be able to witness those preserved temples of them. For now, since I’m still a student all I want to do is to research more about the culture and tradition of Indian people, I find it so interesting because they have this unique belief different from what we have.
Wow! Looking at those pictures and given that information, made me realize that Hindi people have inspired the architectural designs of buildings, infrastructures and churches of today. The Hindu Art created a very big impact on the medieval style art of what we see today, like the Gothic style churches. The creativity and the detailed designs of the Hindi people are much noticed in their sculpture and temples. Upon knowing these, I can say that there is a purpose or an underlying reason why they made some erotic sculpture in their temples, as seen on the previous pictures and article once posted.
As it is a part of their own culture, they have established monuments of their Gods and made large rooms for worships and gatherings. Hindi people are very proud of these stone art works that they put so much effort to preserve these world-known temples.
To literally come and see it, would be a great help of learning and understanding their culture very different from ours. Thank you!
Good Day Ma'am.. At first glance t0 the temples, it's PRETTY AWESOME.. I mean, it was s0 great!! Im still w0ndering, where those c0ncepts came from? I mean, who were th0se particular pe0ple behind thinking those kinds of architectures? The designs, the shapes, the sculptures, w0w, it was quite amazing. Upon reading the details about those temples, I've learned lot of things that I did not expect t0 learn only fr0m this blog.. It makes me more knowledgeable in terms of Hindu Temples. Thank y0u for th0se informations ma'am.. More p0wer & God bless..
As i saw the sculpture ,I was really amazed because it is quiet wonderful for me.It was liberated to show or shall i say a malice one but we cant criticized them because it was their belief and tradition .For them ,sex and religion intertwined .thus,we should respect them because all of us have different principles in life.
Good Morning Prof.June!! This is Mayzy C. Lavisores of GC 1-2
Amazing!!!I did know that India has many temples, but when i read the articles posted, WOW!!!It's unbelievable that during the 10th century,India was almost covered with temples. Now I learned that the temples are dedicated to their most powerful god, Shiva. To show his greatness, that he is the life and death and that he controls everything.
well, that's their culture and to prevent misunderstanding all we have to do is respect one's belief.
Thank you Prof. June for the wonderful article you've posted. I'm looking forward for the next.
Good evening Prof. June Justine Ann Eupeña GC 1-3 As I read the information, I’m so impressed of the Indian people for being a creative one. I can’t imagine that in 10th century they come up to that wonderful creation. And as we all know, there’s no such technologies at that time. They used their creativeness in making those wonderful temples. They are incredible. It was all dedicated to their major gods and a variety of other Hindu gods. As I observed, there are many Hindu temples have similar representation but not many concentrate so strongly on the human sexual experience. The temples commemorate and honor women. Their temples were very unique. I do appreciate their hard work. As of now, many travelers have gone there to witness the temples. How I wish I can witness the beauty of the Hindu temples someday. It’s my pleasure to know how creative the people in India. Thank you for the information ma’am. God Bless you …

I'm really curious if where did they get the idea of making such big and spacious building. If such person see that in a real event I'm sure a BIG OPEN MOUTH will exist!
Making sculptures like shiva was so great. But praising shiva like a real God make me feel disgust. But then I respect what they believe in, for I don't know what the real score behind their beliefs.

Upon reading this statement, I can say that the temples in Hindu is very strange because some designs are showing sexual intercourse, and also I can say that I appreciate or shall I say respect their culture because that is their beliefs.
Over all, the temples in Hindu are extravagant that they able to build such prestigious temples and their culture are very rich.
I wish I can interview the engineer, the architect and the designer of their temples.
Good evening mam! After watching and reading the whole slides, two important realizations came up into my mind,"ARTISTIC and MAGNIFICENT"These words refers to the temples and the different artworks created by the Indians.Because i see their creations as work of the mind as well as work of the heart.Because you cant create such beautiful and enormous temples without the passion and the heart to do it.I really admire their temples and hope to see it in person someday. And i really considered myself lucky because was able to see and appreciate those temples because it gives me additional knowledge as well as ideas about the culture and the beliefs of the Indians. That would be all,Thank you!
I learned a lot of information when I read whole slides. Now I know that most of the places in India are full of artistics and beautiful temples. Some of the temples especially the khajuraho gives us wisdom and knowledge to do what is right & what is wrong.I apreciate the designer of those temple for doing thier traditional belief as part of their enormous cuture. Also for being a good follower of their almighty god...

But it's fine, what matters most is the knowledge I gained. I may be wrong last time , for the next time, still wrong. hehe joke! Of course, learning is already there. So, I'd better not know the answer next time in order for me not to be hurt. hehe (atik lang).
